Research Interests

Ancient Near Eastern archaeology, zooarchaeology, stable isotopes and palaeodietary studies, social inequality, reconstruction of past farming systems and land use, present-day farming practices.

Research Profile

My research focuses on reconstructing past food production and subsistence practices (mainly in southwest Asia), and their impact on human societies (inequality) and the environment (climate change, biodiversity). I am also interested in using knowledge of the past to contribute to present-day discussions on climate change, biodiversity, and sustainability. Finally, I am invested in making research accessible to broader audiences and advocate for equity, diversity, and inclusivity within our society.
