Postgraduate Taught Degrees
Here at the School of Archaeology our graduate students and staff explore fundamental themes about the human past in multiple regions around the world – across Eurasia, Austronesia, Africa and the Americas. They include everything from human origins to classical, historical and contemporary archaeology, and from theoretical approaches to scientific methods related to diet, domestication, technology, and chronology. The breadth of the School's research results in close collaborations with colleages in many different departments and faculties, and it maintains direct associations with the University's outstanding libraries, museums, and regional heritage and commercial partners, ensuring further opportunities for student research, work experience and career advancement. In addition to the lively research seminar series, many convened by students, the Graduate Archaeological Society is run by students and offers its own seminar series, workshops, conferences and events.
