Convenors for 2021/22: Corrie Hyland ( and Michael Scott (

The Bioarchaeology seminar series incorporates a range of topics relating to the study of archaeological organic remains and how they inform interpretations of past human diet, health, lifestyle and population history. Our seminars consider the biological impact of a range of issues including adaptive shifts, such as the development of agriculture, migration and colonisation, consequences of past climatic shifts and environmental conditions, availability of resources, violence and warfare. This series regularly hosts speakers who may be of interest to students and researchers in biological anthropology, biomolecular archaeology, human osteology, zooarchaeology, and archaeobotany.
